CAVES TO WINE TOUR

Departing Penola/ Coonawarra at 9am we will head up Riddoch Highway to the Naracoorte Caves World Heritage Listed Site.

Then, let us take you to the heart of the Coonawarra Wine Region, where you’ll experience the true essence of this renowned wine country.

Naracoorte Caves World Heritage Listed Site
Victorian Fossil Cave Tour is where you will walk through the magnificent speleothem chamber ( stalactites, stalagmites and helictites ) on the way to the Fossil chamber. Your guide will tell you all about the accumulation of bones in the caves, excavation techniques, current research and World Heritage listing. The Victoria Fossil Cave showcases the World Heritage features of the park. It is recognised the world over for its outstanding scientific value.
 
Coonawarra 

Drive 25 minutes back down to Coonawarra for an afternoon of  Wine Tasting. Savour bold Cabernet Sauvignon and other local favourites, crafted from Coonawarra’s unique terra rossa soil. Each tasting showcases the rich flavours and deep heritage that make Coonawarra wines world-class.

Here is an example of a possible itinerary through Coonawarra for the afternoon of wine tasting.
 
1st Winery - Patricks, Brand’s Laira Coonawarra  or Di Giorgio Wines 
Wine tasting and lunch break.  (Produce Platters available at all three wineries)
2nd Winery - Balnaves of Coonawarra or Hollicks Estate
3rd WInery -  Katnook or Majella Wines
4th Winery -  Wynns Coonawarra Estate
 
Photo Shoot to end the day at the renowned Coonawarra Railroad Siding.
