Explore the Naracoorte Caves World Heritage Site, home to fossils dating back hundreds of thousands of years. Walk through the Wonambi Fossil Centre, which depicts the landscape and megafauna that once roamed the region, then step into the Victoria Fossil Cave, where stalactites, stalagmites, and fossil chambers reveal Earth's prehistoric past.

Then we head to the heart of the Coonawarra Wine Region. You'll discover rich, bold Cabernet Sauvignon and other varieties grown in the region's famous terra rossa soil. Settle in for an afternoon platter with a complimentary glass of wine, then enjoy tastings at 2 more cellar doors

  • Pickup: From your Naracoorte accommodation at approximately 9:15 am.

  • Morning: Naracoorte Caves World Heritage Site.
  • Wonambi Fossil Centre: Step back in time and meet the giant creatures that once roamed Naracoorte, over 200,000 years ago.
  • Victoria Fossil Cave tour: Wander through chambers of glittering stalactites and stalagmites, and see fossils that tell the story of why this site is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site worldwide.
  • Afternoon, Coonawarra wine tasting
  • A relaxed start: Settle in at one of Coonawarra's family-run cellar doors for an afternoon platter of local produce, served with a complimentary glass of wine.
  • Coonawarra Railway Siding: Stop for a photo at this much-loved local landmark.
  • Tastings, your way: Taste your way through Coonawarra's famous Cabernet Sauvignon and other fine wines, grown in the region's rich terra rossa soil. We choose stops to suit your group's tastes, so every glass suits you.
